Defense Shuts the Door

Francis contributed on both sides of the ball, adding an interception and a fumble recovery to his opening onside recovery. Page also recovered a fumble, and Sam Huguet forced another turnover.

Rowzee (#30) on the run

By the end of the night, the Eagles had forced 3 turnovers, recorded 54 total tackles, and held Northshore in check throughout.

Looking Ahead

With the victory, First Baptist Christian evens its record at 3–3 heading into a much-needed bye week. Coach Standiford emphasized the importance of this next week in anticipation of playing undefeated crosstown opponent John Paul the Great Academy stating:

“We’re 3-3 heading into the bye week and were hoping to get a couple of injuries healed, mistakes corrected and study film. Everything we want is right there in front of us. We just have to go take it.”

The Eagles will return to action on September 25, hosting the Guardians of John Paul the Great Academy in what promises to be a highly anticipated matchup under the lights.
