Once again the pastors of Sola Men’s Bible Conference are inviting men from across Acadiana to gather around God’s Word for a one-day, Scripture-driven event rooted in careful exegesis through the Book of Colossians including corporate worship, lunch and Christian fellowship.
This year’s conference will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Milton, located at 2535 E. Broussard Road, Lafayette, and will run from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. Registration is just $5, and that fee includes lunch, making the event intentionally accessible to men throughout Acadiana.

According to Chad Thibodeaux, pastor of First Baptist Church of Vatican and one of this year’s speakers, the conference grew organically out of pastoral fellowship rather than institutional ambition.
The idea originated with Luke Arsement, an elder at First Baptist of Milton, who reached out to several area pastors with a simple vision: a men’s Bible conference centered on preaching straight through a book of Scripture.
That vision became reality last year when the group preached through Titus in four sessions, each preceded by prayer and worship. The response, Thibodeaux said, was deeply encouraging.
This year, the pastors will apply the same format to the book of Colossians, with each speaker handling a portion of the text and modeling careful, expository preaching.
Who’s Speaking?
This year’s conference brings together pastors from across Acadiana, in addition to Thibodeaux, including Matt Palmer from First Baptist Milton, Chad Norman from First Baptist Opelousas, and Brandon Guidry of Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church in Crowley.
“This is about men gathering to worship, to sit under the Word, and to fellowship,” Thibodeaux explained. “The ultimate goal is that God would be glorified in all of it.” As Thibodeaux put it, the prayer is simply for “a great turnout and a great time for men to gather and worship together.”
